When you copy the same checklist into several client folders, the files get out of date. SimpleUAT uses packs plus projects instead of a live link back to the source pack.

Install, then own it

When you Use This Pack, selected suites and tests are copied into this project. From then on they behave like anything you wrote by hand. Client-specific SKUs, URLs, and personas belong on the project cases and environments, not in a shared pack if those details will go stale.

Skip existing vs create anyway

If you install twice, choose Skip existing to avoid clones, or Create anyway if you truly want a second copy (usually you don’t).

What is not reuse

  • Packs do not auto-apply new catalog versions into installed projects.
  • You cannot save the project back into a pack. Maintain the pack in the pack UI / JSON / AI generate.

Reuse without a pack

Duplicate a cycle for the next release. Keep cases active. Deprecate tests you no longer run. That’s the “copy last sprint’s tab” move, without overwriting old results.
