Do I have to use packs?
No. Packs are optional reusable checklists. You can import a spreadsheet or write suites by hand.

Packs are faster when you don’t have a script. They are not a requirement to “do UAT correctly.”
Write suites yourself. Import the client’s Excel. Use the wizard for starter tests. Install nothing.
You still get runs, findings, evidence, delivery, exports. The platform organizes execution either way.
Packs help reuse. If every client is unique, skip the catalog.
