# Unified Smart Import

> Import Excel, CSV, Word, PDF, or mixed UAT packages. Review the workspace, then apply suites and cases to the project.

Specs often arrive mixed: a PDF of test ideas, a CSV export, a Word script, a roster. **Unified Smart Import** is built for that mix.

**1. Open Import**

Project setup **Import tests**, or **Import**. Choose **Unified Smart Import**.

**2. Upload whatever they sent**

Excel, CSV, Word, PDF, mixed. Put related files in one workspace so plans, scripts, and lists can be reviewed together.

**3. Let it parse**

Structured tables parse more reliably than a photo of a whiteboard inside a PDF. If a file fails, you can retry or leave it out and type the missing cases.

**4. Review**

Split vague bullets into real cases or reject them. You are still the tester. Do not apply a preview you would not run.

**5. Apply**

Content becomes project suites and cases. Edit titles so you can pass or fail them in a run.

A clean Excel or CSV matrix can stay on [Smart Matrix Import](https://docs.simpleuat.com/imports/excel.md). Troubleshooting: [import problems](https://docs.simpleuat.com/troubleshooting/import.md).
